Overview

Your main duties will be to provide the Network Operations support for Axonex customers, with a focus on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure, Cisco Borderless Networks and Security Architectures. Support services are delivered through a variety of media such as email, telephone and Service Desk web-based tools.

Key Accountabilities

  • The completion of 2nd line support tickets from Auto Task, allocated from the Axonex service desk. Escalation back to the service desk any incidents that cannot be resolved.
  • Completion or escalation of priority 1 customer incidents to the NOC manager.
  • Pro-actively monitor and respond to any Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure issues on monitored customers.
  • Pro-actively monitor and respond to any Cyber security issues on monitored customers.
  • Pro-actively monitor customer networks via Kaseya and Solar Winds monitoring platforms on the AV screens and email alerts, setting up devices and configuring alerting.
  • Onboarding of new customers support contracts on the Axonex monitoring platforms.
  • Checking of the Meraki portal for all customers on a monthly basis, organising upgrades and testing where necessary.
  • Customer Monthly reports completion.
  • Comply with the Incident Management Process, Service Request and Major Incident Process and all other ITIL documented processes and where appropriate to identify and escalate incidents to the Service Desk Analyst Team Leader who will escalate to 2nd Line where appropriate.
  • Comply with Axonex internal policies and processes including ISO9001.
  • Management of the customers’ expectations.
  • Professional and courteous with all customers as all times.

Skills & Experience

  • In depth knowledge of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure is a key requirement
  • Network theory knowledge, such as OSI Model, TCP/IP.
  • Cisco skills including Routing & Switching, Security with minimum Cisco CCNA level.
  • In depth knowledge of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure is a key requirement
  • Deep understanding of VMware vCenter and VMware networking
  • Cisco CSR1000v
  • In depth knowledge of networking protocols such DHCP, PBR, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, NAT, IPSLA, IPSEC
  • F5 BIG-IP
  • Microsoft skills such as Windows, Internet Explorer, and Office.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment.
  • Experience in network monitoring platforms.

Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNA routing and switching, and or Cisco CCNA security.
  • Cisco CCNP qualification desirable.
  • Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure essential.
  • Vendor specific qualifications desirable.
